ABOUT MIYAVI
MIYAVIis a Japanese musician, actor and philanthropist, building bridges between cultures through his music and his message. His unique talent and style as a guitarist has already taken him on 7 world tours in over 30 countries and has earned him the nickname “Guitar Samurai” from his fans. More recently, you can find MIYAVI as the face of Beats headphones in Japan or on the runway for Yohji Yamamoto & Y3 at his 2018 collection in Paris.
Active since 1999, he started as a guitarist in the late band Dué le Quartz (Kei Rock) before starting his solo career in 2002. In 2007 he became a member of the rock supergroup S.K.I.N. and in 2009 he founded his own company, J-glam. Miyavi is one of the most prolific Japanese artists of the moment, in 2015 his world tour counts more than 250 shows and in 2016 he released no less than 10 albums and 27 singles.
His next album NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO is due to be released on 24 June and will be followed by a new European tour this autumn.
